BYOB in Agra: Cheers & Beers is opening soon on MG Road 2
Almost everywhere else, BYOB means bring your own bottle. At Cheers & Beers, a restropub opening soon in the building whose rooftop is Altitude’s, it will mean buy your own. Its opening date had not been announced when we checked on 23 October 2026.

Cheers & Beers, a restropub on the second floor of Jaipur House, MG Road 2, above Domino’s, is opening soon, and its BYOB will mean buy your own bottle, not bring it: outside bottles will not be allowed, so you will buy yours there. Its opening date had not been announced when we checked on 23 October 2026; @cheersandbeersagra on Instagram will have it.
How BYOB will work at Cheers & Beers
Elsewhere in India, BYOB usually means carrying your own bottle into a restaurant. At Cheers & Beers the rule will run the other way, so when it opens, leave the bottle at home and buy at the bar.
Before a night out in Agra
- Age: 21 is the legal drinking age in Uttar Pradesh. Carry photo ID.
- Dry days: bars in Uttar Pradesh stay shut on dry days, including 26 January, 14 April, 15 August and 2 October and the days around an election, and the district can add others. If your night falls on a festival or a holiday, check first.
- Getting home: do not drive. Book a cab from the table rather than on the kerb, and send someone the trip details; 112 is India’s emergency number.
Where it will be
Cheers & Beers will be on the second floor of Jaipur House on MG Road 2: the building with Domino’s at street level and Altitude’s rooftop at the top. There is open parking at the foot of the building, and the Taj is about 25 minutes away by car.
